The whole world is speaking to us constantly, in a language beyond words, the world is speaking to us through gestures. By observing the gestures of plants their growing habitat, flower color and the plants climatic temperament and growing range, we can glean a fair amount of pertinent information. This information can be very useful when researching a flower remedy.

On a vibrational level Walnut flower essence is used when we are making major changes in our lives. Moving, changing jobs, partners etc, walnut flower essences assists us in making a clean break from the past.  The walnut ‘mother’ tree secretes a chemical which prevents the growth of other walnuts from sprouting up around it.  This prevents other walnut trees from rooting and growing near the mother.  The walnut is encased in a pericap. This coating protects the nut inside and when it matures and drops the sponge like pericap allows the nut to bounce and roll from the mother. In a sense the baby walnut is free to follow their own journey and grow independently and stand alone.

Ms. Sheffer brings a wealth of knowledge to the topic gleaned from years as a therapist and head of the Swiss and German Bach Flower Therapy Research and Education centers. When investigating an essence it is not uncommon to find different definitions of the same essence by different companies. In this post we will take a deeper look at Sunflower, an essence produced by Delta Gardens, Alaskan Flower Essence Project and Flower Essence Services. All three companies are respected for their integrity and comprehensive research methods. They also all hail from diverse geographical regions, New England, Northern California and Alaska and offer an expanded perspective of Sunflower.

The sunflower is part of the plant family known as composites, this includes daisies, tansy, chamomile, and echinacea, they are the second largest flowering plant species in the world. They consist of a round flower head, surrounded by by petals. There are some daisies with no petals and they are known as class two composites, such as tansy, moxa and wormwood. Back to class one composites, the circular nature of the flower resembles the sun, the way a child may draw. Lets look at the different definitions by the 3 producers:
